Blake's Story

Introducing Blake

Blake first rode a mini bike in 2017 at age 6, like many others round a car park. Such was his enjoyment that he rode a couple of races in the Coolfab series, and with old equipment gained top ten finishes.

A full entry to the Coolfab Minibike Rookies Series was made for 2019. This included a February training trip to Finestraat in Spain, where won the opening the race.

Further race wins in Llandow and Lydd followed, with rostrum finishes at most of the other tracks.

By late summer Blake had just turned 8 and while laying in third place in the rookie series decided he wanted to ride larger geared bikes in 2020 rather than stay on minibikes, however he would have been too young and inexperienced, so on the advice of the race organisers he swapped to the Pro series to learn faster bikes. After proving his skill level was high enough with 4 top ten finishes, he was granted permission to ride in the 2020 Metrakit GP50 series.

The 2020 season proved very tough to start, learning to race a much larger geared machine. However the season progressed well from a 16th finish in the first race to 5 podiums in the last six races giving Blake 6th overall in the British championship and top rookie.

Blake started 2021 season in the MK70 series consistently finishing in the top 6.In July at aged 10 he entered the one make FIM MiniGP Series on an Ohvale GP160, winning the inaugural race. Consistent podiums thereafter saw him finish runner up in the series, meaning he represented the UK at the World Finals in November in Valencia. Blake qualified as the fastest UK rider.

2022/23

The priority for 2022 and 2023 is to enter the Cuna De Campeones Spanish Championship, to race Moto 5 bikes against the best in Europe.

To keep a profile in the UK Blake will also ride again  in the Fab Racing MK70 class.
